Frame, connectors and bridle
The frame and bridle turn a sewn sail into a kite ready to fly. Dimensions, connector position, bungee tension and bridle geometry must stay consistent with the plan you chose.
This page gathers useful references, but it does not provide a universal setup. Always start from the measurements given by the main plan or tutorial.
Install connectors
Section titled "Install connectors"This video shows how to install T-connectors. For printable files and other parts, also see 3D printable kite parts.
Make a bridle
Section titled "Make a bridle"Before cutting bridle lines, check:
- that the measurements exactly match the model you are building;
- whether dimensions include loops and knots;
- that both sides are symmetrical;
- that attachment points match the connectors and sail ends;
- whether the described bridle is classic, turbo or another variant.
Compare several builds
Section titled "Compare several builds"- Yves Ganne goes through carbon frame setup and the bridle of his Rev 1.5;
- Punk Sportif also documents the frame and bridle;
- Revomania describes the sail, bridle, connectors, bungees and handles;
- Polo Kites shows workshop choices, to interpret with the plan of the kite being built;
- Guardian documents the bridle and frames used across several personal builds;
- Mini Pulse provides frame and bridle information specific to that model;
- Essentials gathers bridle plans, frame dimensions, and notes on rod placement.
Bungees and finishing
Section titled "Bungees and finishing"Bungees should hold the sail without distorting it excessively. Their length and tension depend on the sail design, eyelet position and connector type.
The Revomania archive gives one mounting example. Compare it with the tutorial or plan used for your build.
Technical resource

Bridle and gear variants
Section titled "Bridle and gear variants"If your kite is assembled, prepare its setup and first flights.
