Quad-line team flying
Team flying needs a shared language before it needs a long collection of figures. On QuadKites.org, the starting point is Jst-4-Fn: its basics help pilots join a group, understand the leader and quickly fly with others.
Before entering the progression, make sure the flying basics feel comfortable. Precision flying then helps you hold a consistent path, speed and spacing within the group.
A progressive path
Section titled "A progressive path"- Start with Jst-4-Fn to learn the references, calls and first maneuvers.
- Train as a team to prepare, rehearse and debrief flights.
- Expand the vocabulary with North American maneuvers.
- Join a megateam once group conventions are already familiar.
These are not four competing standards. They answer four successive or complementary needs.
Find other pilots
Section titled "Find other pilots"Team flying starts by meeting people. The community’s clubs, festivals, groups, and forums can help you find pilots nearby or prepare a first session together.
