Short Lines: 6 Reasons You Will Like Them by Revolution Kites

Key takeaways from this video

  • Short lines go up and come down very quickly and greatly reduce tangles.
  • They take up much less space, so you can fly in small areas and leave room for others.
  • The Reflex float and the hand launch, practised every time the kite comes down, are especially fun on them.
  • They improve your level quickly and shorten your reaction time; in a tight space, keep control through speed.

Hi, I'm Joe Hadzicki, inventor of the Revolution, and why is everyone flying on short lines? Here are six reasons why short lines are the new craze. Reason number one: short lines are super fast and super easy to set up and tear down. Reason number two: short lines greatly reduce the chances of tangles.

  2. Space and floating

    0:49

Reason number three: short lines take up much less space, allowing you to fly in smaller spaces and allowing the people around you to enjoy the space with you, either on the beach or at the park. Reason number four: the Revolution Reflex design allows you to float, glide and soar. These are incredibly fun to do on short lines.

  3. Hand launch and faster progress

    2:43

Reason number five, one of my favorites: I love to hand launch my Rev. Anytime my Rev goes down, it gives me a chance to practice my hand launch. Reason number six: short lines will quickly improve your Revolution skills and reduce your reaction time. Be sure to use speed control to maintain total control when flying in tight spaces. We'll see you on the field.
