Key takeaways from this video
- The choice depends on your level, your wind, smooth and steady or light and gusty, and your style, fast or precise.
- The Reflex XX, large, light and stable, suits learning tricks and extremely light wind.
- The Blast, larger, fast and powerful, makes its own wind: three steps back are enough in 2 miles per hour (about 3 km/h).
- The Eagle, light and efficient, makes precise slow flight natural; precision: XX, speed: Blast, interaction: Eagle.

Three factors to weigh
0:00Hi, I'm Joe Hadzicki, inventor of the Revolution. Oftentimes people ask me what's the best light-wind Rev. Well, it really comes down to three factors. Number one: what's your skill level? Have you flown Revs before, or are you just starting out? Number two: what are your wind conditions? Are you going to be flying in smooth, steady conditions like you might find on the beach, or are you going to be flying in light, unsteady conditions like you might find in the mountains? And number three: what style of flyer are you? Are you fast and furious, or smooth and precise? Let's find the right light-wind Rev for you.
Three favorite models
0:36For me personally, I have three favorite models. Number one, the Reflex XX. Number two, the Revolution Blast. And number three, the Rev Eagle. Let's take a closer look at all three models. The Reflex XX is large, it's light, and its Reflex makes it perfect for light-wind flying. The stability makes it great for learning new Rev skills. If you're new to Revs, this is a great way to learn your skills and also have an incredible model for extreme light-wind conditions. The wind's blowing about two to three miles an hour, so let's take it for a spin. Remember, the XX has the Reflex, which is what makes it fly so well in light winds. The Reflex also makes the short-line hand launch really easy.
The Revolution Blast
1:47The Revolution Blast is larger, faster and more powerful than the XX. It is so efficient that it actually creates its own wind. Three steps back and it'll be overhead in two-mile-an-hour winds. It will easily go 40 miles an hour. Let's take a look.
The Rev Eagle
2:31The Rev Eagle is light and efficient. Precise, slow-motion control is natural for the Eagle, even when you're not doing advanced skills. The Eagle is majestic. Does this ever happen to you? Your Rev falls face down and you can't launch it. It's an impossible launch. Not with the Reflex. Quick pop and you're up and flying. If you like precise, remember X marks the spot. If you like fast, think Blast. And if you like interactive, you need an Eagle. Pick out a Rev and we'll see you on the field.
