Key takeaways from this video

  • The cap winder has a bungee at each end that holds the lines firmly.
  • The deeper-pocket prototype takes a 120 ft (about 37 m), 90 lb line set, with room to spare.
  • The double bungee keeps the lines from loosening and getting messy.

  1. Modifying the winder for 120 feet

Hi, I'm Joe Hadzicki, inventor of the Revolution, and one of our Club 38 members asked if it would be possible to modify our new winder design so it could handle a larger line set, like a 120-foot line set. Let's give it a go. All right, so here's our standard 120-foot, 90 lb test line set. It's been kicking around a little bit, so you can see it's a little soft, and that's one of the things I like about the new cap winder: it has a shock cord on both ends, so you can kind of lock it down.

  2. Testing the prototype

This is our new prototype. You can see it has a deeper pocket in it. So let's see how it goes. All right, let's wind it in on the new prototype and see how it goes. Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Excellent. I really think this came out pretty good. We still have plenty of room left. The double bungee tie-down really locks those lines in place so they don't get loose and sloppy. I think I like it. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
